Gi Group are seeking to recruit a Legal Administrator to work for their Client based in Derby.
Job Summary - Purpose & Objective of Job:
To Manage the Administrative aspect of the Mediation Department to include all "satellite" offices.
Typing support to the Family Department will be required during busy periods
Duties will include:-
Dealing with all new enquires for mediation and taking appropriate steps to progress each enquiry to Willingness/Assessment and Mediation.
Organisation and management of all mediation files to include opening and closure.
Managing the key dates diary for the department..
Arranging appointments for clients which will include liaising with each party over the telephone to ensure that a mutually acceptable appointment is made at the appropriate office.
Dealing with general telephone enquiries and attending on clients in person in the first instance when they come into the office with an enquiry.
Working with the mediators to ensure that all sessions and work carried out on files is correctly logged so as to be LSC compliant.
General organisation and management of files to ensure they are LSC compliant.
Invoicing private clients and chasing up outstanding payments ensuring that any due payments are noted in the key date's diary and on the file.
Typing and dispatch of correspondence and any relevant mediation documents
Experience required:-
Secretarial skills and computer literate.
Ability to manage clients who are distressed in a sympathetic and firm manner
Good secretarial and organisational skills.
Legal background in Family and/or Mediation
